Unfailing Love - Trent
WL Quick Tip: Almost every one of these songs lends itself to congregational worship. Stylistically refreshing and very doable for the local worship band.
Not since the "Hungry" disc has Vineyard UK put out such a stellar recording. From the first track of Unfailing Love to the last, the energy and dynamic of this project does not diminish but stays with you throughout. Trent creates beautiful & organic landscapes on each track that contain musical shades of Snow Patrol and U2-and then there are the lyrics! These songs pick you up and carry you into the Lord's Presence and transport the listener to a place of worship.
As the title track extols, "Unfailing Love / You never let us down / Your promise is alive / When colored dreams fade to gray / When the night crowds the day / When there's no words left to say / God's love remains." The lyrics are simple and yet profound at the same time. Songs like "Unfailing Love," "God Is with Us," are anthemic while "Reason" and "Walk Humbly (Micah 6)" reveal a desperate unvarnished yearning for God in our lives. This album is a must for your worship library.
